Proposals are now being accepted for the 36th annual Southwest Popular/American Culture Association conference, Feb 11-14, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Conference Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our conference theme this year is “Many Faces Many Voices: Intersecting Borders in Popular and American Culture.” For more information, see http://www.southwestpca.org.

Asian Popular Culture & The Asian-American Experience is a topic area that covers a wide variety of material from a variety of Asian cultures. In fact, if your paper has anything to do with Asian popular culture or Asian-American life and culture, from food to film to fashion to family, we are definitely interested. If you have any questions, please email area chair Deborah Scally (University of North Texas – Dallas) at sensei0918@yahoo.com.

All presenters must submit their proposals through the conference database at http://conference2015.southwestpca.org/.

Deadline for submissions is November 1, 2014.

Remember, too, that Southwest PCA/ACA is offering monetary awards for the best graduate student papers in a variety of categories, so be sure to check out the information at http://southwestpca.org/conference/graduate-student-awards/

In addition, please check out the organization’s new peer-reviewed, quarterly journal: Dialogue: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Popular Culture and Pedagogy.  (Find more information at http://journaldialogue.org.)

We look forward to your submissions.
